Hello. The topic given for this week is "Interaction Design". So basically, the root word is "interaction". What does interaction means? From my basic understanding, interaction is a kind of action when we react with something that has an effect upon us. Not only between humans, it can be between animals or non-living things. To be more specific, how humans interact with computers. How we communicate between each other and so forth. The main purpose of Interaction Design is to design the interactive elements for the computers, appliances, machines, mobile communication services, software applications, and websites ; which is commonly to full-fill our desire. We can see a good interaction design when the interaction between user and a computer ends with an accomplished task.
It is the main component to design the best interaction design for a machine. There are some aspects that the designers should be focused at such as design research, research analysis and concept generation, alternative design and evaluation, prototyping and usability testing, implementation, and system testing. HCI or known as Human Computer Interaction is the study, planning, and design of the interaction between users and computers. It allows users to interact with computers with one important factor ; different users from different conceptions or mental models about their interactions and have different ways of learning and keeping knowledge and skills. For example in cognitive style, as in "left-brained" and "right-brained". ''As computers will become more and pervasive in culture, the designers are increasingly looking for ways to make interfacing with devices easier, safer, and more efficient.''
It is really grateful to see that the machine works the best for every computer users like me.
